There is only one Pit Bull Terrier breed. There are no German Pit Bulls or Chinese Pit Bulls or Spanish Pit Bulls. There are only American Pit Bull Terriers.
There are not Pit Bulls from other countries with different traits or who are different breeds. There might be APBT in other countries just as their are dogs of other countries American, but that is all.
There are other fighting dogs and bulldogs of other countries but they should not be called Pit Bull/Pit Bull Terrier or any of the like because that is not their breed. The Ca De Bou is a fighting dog/bulldog, the Canary Dog is also a fighting/hunting dog as well as the Dogo Argentino but these would not be refered for as example as a Canary Island Pit Bull. They have their own proper breed names. They may have some relation if you were to go back several centuries to the root of the breeds, but that is the only connection you will find.
There are English Staffordshire Bull Terriers and Irish Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
From my understanding the English Staffordshire Bull Terrier and the Staffordshire Bull Terrier we have here would be considered the same breed. There are breeders here who have imported English Staffs directly from England for breeding to their stock here. The Irish Staffordshire Bull Terrier was developed from the original Staffordshire Bull Terrier of England as well and location is what differs them but they are very much the same breed as the dogs in England. The dogs in England and Ireland looks the same as well as the dogs here.
