My answer would be NO. My question would be why?
Pit Bulls should not have their tails docked as its against the breed standard. It will also aid in other breeds like Boxer's to be misidentified as Pit Bulls. So I see no reason for it to be done and wonder why someone would consider it.
The only reason a Pit Bull should have their tail docked would be for medical reasons. If they have an injury to their tail which requires amputation, the same applies to limbs.
If someone is asking this question it is likely that they are getting a puppy shortly or already have a pup or even a full grown dog. In this case they should not even consider a cosmetic docking. Tails are docked on many working breeds, however this is done around 3 days old, when all the nerves are not fully developed and when the bones have not fully developed and hardened. When they are older it will be a medical surgery. It won't be as simple as a quick tail snip. They will be in pain and require a longer healing time and will also be a more expensive procedure.
